Boehlerit continues Nanolock development
A story of innovation and success is continued. Nanolock, the world’s first nanostructured CVD coating, is now available for milling. LMT alliance partner Boehlerit has successfully developed an enhanced coating.
The name of the new coating: Nanolock Black. Its effect: the layer protects the carbide substrate against heat. Additionally, special additives (insertion of foreign atoms into the layer) in the carbide substrate of LC230E reduces the propensity for crack formation. This extends tool life while enabling high cutting speeds.
The Boehlerit LC230E universal cutting type with Nanolock Black clearly demonstrates its strength in economic dry machining on a wide range of steel materials at cutting speeds of 120 m/min to 300 m/min. It can be obtained through LMT with a wide range of ISO milling indexable inserts for all the common tool systems available on the market.
