“Networking the experts” is the motto of LMT’s fair programme at AMB 2010. Wherever you are, you will be able to experience the presentations live. LMT’s tool specialists will transmit the highlights from the fair booth live on the Internet. The programme includes tool demonstrations from the LMT technology centre in Schwarzenbek, talks by experts at the fair booth in Stuttgart and exclusive insights into practical machining by engineering partners and users all over Germany.

"Networking the experts", taking the MultiEdge 4Feed HSC high-performance cutter with the special Nanosphere Red coating as an example. The highly varied know-how of a large number of experts has gone into its development.

Precision tools combine the know-how of different experts. Top performance in production is therefore always also a demonstration of successful cooperation between users, engineers, toolmakers and many other partners. At AMB 2010 LMT will be providing exclusive insights into this network of experts. An attractive fair programme awaits visitors under the heading “Networking the experts”. The special feature of the presentations is that they will not only take place at the AMB itself, but will be transmitted to the fair from other locations in Germany over the Internet. In fact, you can be there too even if you can’t come to Stuttgart yourself. Fast Internet access is all you need, because LMT will be broadcasting the programme highlights live on the Web.

Daily themes

LMT will be focusing on one key subject on each day of the fair. The themes will be highlighted in greater depth through the use of different presentation formats:

  • Tool innovations: Once a day LMT will be transmitting from the Group technology centre in Schwarzenbek and showing the latest tool innovations in practical use. The programme begins on Tuesday, 28 September, at 11:00 a.m. Live transmissions from Schwarzenbek will also take place at 11:00 a.m. on each following day until Friday.
  • Discussions and talks: Current and future trends will be at the centre of the programme at the fair booth of LMT. On Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. LMT will host a round-table discussion of leading industry representatives. Prof. Dr. Frank Barthelmä, Managing Director of GFE Schmalkalden, Lothar Horn CEO of Paul Horn GmbH and Chairman of the VDMA Precision Tools Association, Dr. Wolfgang Sengebusch, Precision Tools Association Managing Director and LMT CEO Dr. Michael Heinrich will examine the subject “Growth opportunities for (German) toolmakers”. The discussion will be presented by Hubert Winkler from trade magazine NC-Fertigung.

    In addition several expert talks will be held every day from Wednesday to Saturday.
     
  • Practical applications: LMT will be offering exclusive practical insights from Wednesday to Friday at 3:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. LMT experts will be visiting users and engineering companies at different locations in Germany and demonstrating how precision tools prove themselves in everyday use.
