Good hole finish maintained
The clamping equipment is of particular importance to reaming tools: if the tool is to fulfill its task – precision machining of the hole – the axis of the tool and the pre-machined hole must be aligned perfectly. But if a misalignment occurs after a number of clamping operations during the machining, and the tool is located over the workpiece with a small displacement, it is necessary to compensate for this – with a floating chuck. A whole range of factors play a part here.
